Join Our Team as an Afterhours Reserve Host!

Kaiteriteri Recreation Reserve

We’re on the lookout for an After-hours Reserve Host to join our Facilities and Environment team. This unique role helps ensure the safety, security, and smooth operation of the Reserve during the late evenings and overnight hours.

About the Role:

Working from 4 pm until late and remaining on-call until 7 am, you will be a visible and friendly presence across the Reserve. You'll build rapport with guests, support compliance with Reserve rules, and respond to any after-hours issues — from security checks to maintenance tasks. You’ll act as a fire and emergency warden, assist with late guest arrivals, manage noise complaints, and respond to alarms and callouts. The position requires you to stay on-site in your own caravan and be available seven nights a week, including weekends and public holidays.

There is also potential for additional daytime maintenance and painting work, depending on your skills and availability.

We Offer:

· Competitive pay

· Staff discounts across our stores and accommodation

· Ongoing training and development opportunities

· A supportive and values-driven team environment

We’re looking for someone who:

· Is friendly, approachable, and great with people

· Has strong conflict resolution skills and can remain calm under pressure

· Is physically fit and safety-conscious

· Can think quickly and problem-solve in dynamic situations

· Ideally holds a current First Aid Certificate (training provided if needed)

· Has customer service or security experience (preferred but not essential)

· Has maintenance or painting experience — an advantage

Additional Information:

· A pre-employment drug and alcohol test is required.

· Caravan accommodation is essential (site provided).
