Our fantastic Waterfront Restaurant, based right on the beachfront is in need of a Duty Manager.

About the role:


Reporting to the Waterfront Restaurant Manager, the Duty Manager is responsible for leading compliance with the Sales and Supply of Alcohol Act 2012. 

The role requires the ability to plan, be adaptable and to support the team as a whole.

Experience: Minimum of 18 months within the hospitality industry.

This role is 30 hours per week, including atleast one weekend day.

Must hold a current Duty Managers License.


Key Responsibilities:

    • Ensure the staff are compliant with the sales and Supply of Alcohol 2012 at all times.
    • Support team and run service as necessary.
    • Greet customers warmly, and assist customers in an efficient and pleasant manner.
    • Complete stock takes and assists with floor duties as required.
    • Follow opening/closing procedures, cash up tills, locking up and setting alarms.
    • Set standards of professionalism across presentation, timeliness, energy, teamwork, and attention to detail. 
    • Ensure a positive team atmosphere and culture are maintained.
    • Prioritise tasks effectively to ensure the most important tasks are completed on time and delegate and follows-up effectively. 
    • Assist the Front of House Manager in managing teams to ensure the smooth operational running of the restaurant.
    • Ensure compliance with all Health and Safety legislation and policies.
